New Delhi: UPSC exam is considered as the toughest exam by students these days, known to this factor Government will hire only 980 officers to fill up vacancies in the IAS, IFS and IPS categories through civil services exam 2017, this is the lowest figure recorded in the past five years.
A total of 1,079 and 1,164 vacancies were reported to be filled through the civil services examinations 2016 and 2015.
The results of last year’s test are yet to be declared.
In 2014 and 2013, 1,364 and 1,228 vacancies were reported.
