Srinagar: The bank heist took place less than two hours after three masked men carrying guns looted five lakh rupees from Ellaquai Dehati Bank in Wahibugh village of the district.
An official said that gunmen entered the Jammu and Kashmir Bank branch in Nehama Kakapora area and looted cash at gunpoint.

Unconfirmed reports suggested that gunmen looted Rs 130000. However, officials were yet to confirm the amount looted.
Gunmen had on Tuesday looted 65000 rupees from an Ellaquai Dehati bank in Kader village of adjacent Shopian district.
