Delhi: Supreme Court upheld Sasikala’s verdict on disproportionate assets case on Tuesday morning. VK Sasikala who is AIADMK General secretary is found guilty for in an illegal wealth case, with a fine of Rs 10 crore.
Judgment was held by two bench of justice, Pinaki Chandra Ghose and Amatva Roy in which Late Jayalalithaa & Sasikala were found guilty of gathering over 63 crores in disproportionate assets to their known income during the last tenure as CM between 1991 & 1996.
In 2014, Karnataka high Court had acquitted all of them in the following case. Furthermore, the Karnataka government, which is the prosecutor in the case, had appealed in the Supreme Court today.
