Hoshiarpur: Residents staged a protest against setting up of a plywood/chemical industry here on Monday Night.
Residents were angry as they wanted to stop the development and construction of factory as per the orders of govt.
Residents of the area appealed to stop the work and the construction of the factory but the work is still in process. “We provided the letter and the ruling of Supreme Court to stop the night work of the factory but the work is still in process as it is the connivance of administration and owner of the factory”, said a protester.
As per the reports, government has already denied the permission for setting up the plywood/chemical factory.
