Hoshiarpur: A shop keeper was murdered over a dispute involving sale of cigarettes on Tuesday.
The murder took place 15 days after the accused had picked up a fight with the cigarette vendor. The shopkeeper’s brother was also injured in the attack. The accused managed to escape from the town.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
DSP Sameer Verma said that shopkeeper and gangster had fought 15 days back. Afterwards they had reached a compromise with each other.
On Tuesday, again the gangsters attacked the shopkeeper and his brother. The shopkeeper sustained injures on his head, after which he was referred to the DMC hospital Ludhiana where he died in the morning.
