Lambi: Raninder Singh, son of Congress CM candidate Captain Amarinder Singh, has claimed that 80 per cent of the anti-incumbency votes were going in favor of the Congress party in the Punjab polls. Raninder, who has actively canvassed support for his father in the recent days, is out in the Lambi constituency taking stock of activities at various polling booths on election day.

Meanewhile, the Badal family viz CM Parkash Singh Badal, Union minister Harsimrat Badal and Deputy CM Sukhbir Badal were among the first to cast their votes here. Taking a swipe at his estranged cousin Manpreet Badal, Sukhbir in a lighter vein said that the entire Badal family was voting for CM Badal and that included Manpreet Badal as well.

He said that Akali-BJP combine would score a clear and thumping victory this time around in Jalalabad and Lambi seats and the Congress party will be placed in the third position.

Keeping up her war of words with the opposition, Union minister Harsimrat Badal, meanwhile, said that Kejriwal was sponsored by the ISI and that Captain Amarinder stood to forfeit his security deposit from Lambi seat. She added that the two sitting MPs from Jalalabad were contesting the elections only to mislead the people.
