Jammu: A Special Investigation Team of Jammu Police arrested two accused persons on Saturday and solved the Manappuram Finance Limited robbery.
The IGP said that a special team was constituted under the supervision of SSP Jammu, SP City South besides SDPO City East Jammu and a hunt was launched to nab the accused persons.
“During the course of investigation, a Police team from Trikuta Nagar Police Station picked up one Assistant Branch head Sunil Kumar and interrogated him and on his disclosure, his accomplice Sangram was picked and arrested from Punjab,” said SD Jamwal.
IG said that both the accused were previously known to each other and employed with Manappuram establishment.
During the course of investigation, the accused told Police how they planned and hatched a criminal conspiracy along with another accused, related to Sangram Singh.
“We have taken both of the accused into custody and also recovered robbed gold from their possession,” added the IGP.
