Chandigarh: Panjab University’s Teacher associations protested in front of VC’s office on Thursday as they did not received their salary from past two months.
Teacher association asked UGC to pass a grant to fulfill their demands.
Eighty police personnel and 90 security staff of the university were deployed at Student Centre and the three gates.
The PU security, along with police personnel, checked students at all gates.
Even the teachers and other staff were allowed inside only on producing their ID proof.
No outsider was allowed to enter the campus.
