Mohali: In 3B1 Mohali murder case of Ekam Dhillon, the deceased’s wife Seerat refused at local court to undergo the lie detector test.
Seerat was again produced before the court today after the end of her police remand.
The court extended Seerat’s remand by six days.
Seerat confessed her crime before the court and said there was no need for her to undergo a lie-detector test.
Her statement in this regard was recorded by the court.
The Police pleaded to the court that the accused was yet to give them information about the source of the weapon used in the crime. Sources said the victim had confessed before the police that she had murdered her husband with a pistol.
The police are yet to arrest the remaining accused in the case.
Seerat also requested the court for the grant of the custody of her two children, Gurnawaz aged 11 and Humaira aged 6.
The court directed her to file an application in this regard.
The children have been staying with her in-laws and Seerat alleged that her children were kept away from her and she wanted to meet them.
The victim’s body, bundled in a suitcase, was recovered by the Mohali police on Sunday following which Seerat was arrested by the police after registering a case under Sections 302, 34 and 201 of the IPC against her, her brother Vinay Partap Singh and her mother Jaswinder Kaur at the Mataur police station.
