GURUGRAM: A standoff between four men transporting a cow in Tata 407 car and a vigilante gathering of ‘gau rakshaks’ and police set off a checkpoint at the National Security Guard campus in Manesar late on Monday as the asserted cattle smugglers scaled the perimeter of campus and took shelter inside the high-security zone.
While conversing with media, DCP of Gurugram said that the smugglers also fired a few shots at guards inside the campus and were instantly met with retaliatory fire. But they were not captured and managed to sneak out by jumping over the perimeter wall.
