New Delhi: MS Dhoni and Jharkhand team escaped unhurt from the ITC Welcome hotel in Dwarka. He was staying in Dwarka where the incident happened. The former Indian skipper is in Delhi leading Jharkhand in the Vijay Hazare Trophy semis against Bengal.
“Fire broke at shopping mall adjacent tothe hotel. In keeping with our safety and security guidelines, as a precautionary measure, we evacuated all our guests. There were no casualties recorded at the hotel,” Hotel Spokesperson said.
Due to security concerns, the venue for Jharkhand-Bengal semifinal has been shifted and will now be played at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in New Delhi on March 18. Because of the incident the final has also been postponed and will now be played on March 20th at the same venue.
