Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police arrested a man who was trying to deposit Rs 9.9 lakh in fake currency notes bearing the name “Children Bank of India” here on Tuesday.
Yousuf Shaik from Moula-Ali area was caught by Allahabad Bank staff while trying to deposit fake currency in the denominations of Rs 2,000 and Rs 500.

Police seized the fake notes and held the man.
There were in all 400 notes of Rs 2,000 denomination and 380 notes of Rs 500 denomination, amounting to a total of Rs 9.90 lakh, police said.
