Bengluru: A total of 66 players were sold inclusive of 27 overseas players in the auctions for IPL Season 9.
Ben Stokes (England) was the most valued player getting Rs 14.5 crores from Rising Pune Supergiants. Tymal Mills (England) was the second costliest player with 12 crores from Royal Challengers Bangalore. Among Indian Players, Karn Sharma got the highest amount of Rs 3.2 from Mumbai Indians.
Stokes, 25, Mills, 24, and 27-year-old Woakes will be playing in the eight-team Twenty20 competition for the first time, which is going to starts from 5 April.
KXIP bought Eoin Morgan for INR 2 crores, Martin Guptill for INR 50 Lacs, Darren sammy for INR 30 lacs.
Along with prominent players, KXIP has shown its belief in Indian players and bought Right Arm Pacer Varun Aaron for Rs. 2.8 Crores and Left-arm bowler Thangarasu Natarajan (from Salem) for Rs. 3 cr.
