New Delhi: Punjab CM Capt Amarinder Singh paid a visit to Union Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj at her residence on Friday.
Sources said the CM was on a social visit to inquire about the health of Swaraj after her recent illness. Swaraj has recently undergone a kidney transplant operation.
Clearly in a proactive mode after recently taking over as Punjab CM, Captain Amarinder also held a meeting with Israeli ambassador to discuss potential investments of Israeli companies in Punjab.
The CM is scheduled to meet Union Minister for Water Resources Uma Bharti later in the day. He is expected to take up the SYL issue with the minister.
