Chandigarh: 31 percent of the eligible voters had cast their votes till 1 PM on election day in Punjab.
The pace of polling has picked up since 12 noon in all districts across the state. As per the figures available from Punjab Chief Electoral Officer, Fatehgarh Sahib and Moga were the lead districts in the state, where polling percentage stood at 36 percent each. At the lower end, the polling figures stood at 24 per cent each for Nawanshahr and Ropar.
