Chandigarh: As political temperatures reach a new high in the hinterlands of Haryana, the state health minister Anil Vij on Monday attacked the Indian National Lok Dal saying that the party did not have the political clout to dig up SYL canal.
Vij said that the proposed INLD program to start digging the SYL canal was nothing more than the party’s attempt to dramatize the issue for political gains. “Abhay Chautala only wants to get some photographs clicked,” he said.
Vij blamed the opposition for issuing irresponsible statements, such as non-implementation of election promises, at a critical juncture when the state was dealing with the jaat agitation.
He said that the government was implementing its election promises and the opposition was only trying to create mischief with such statements.
Vij added that the jaat reservation issue will be solved amicably through dialog.
