Maur Mandi (Bathinda): Three people were killed and six others injured in a car explosion in the town market here on Tuesday evening. The dead include a man, a woman and a child.
The explosion took place near a nukkar meeting of the Bathinda Congress candidate. As per initial reports, the blast most likely happened due to the explosion of a cylinder installed inside the car – a Maruti. Eyewitness reports said that the car had been parked at the spot for over an hour. A burst pressure cooker was also seen in the remains of the car.
The high intensity blast left the entire Maur Mandi market shaken. A team of Bathinda police have reached the spot and investigations were on at the time of filing this report.
