Two kg heroine recovered from Taran Tarn border

Chandigarh: The Border Security Force (BSF) on Wednesday recovered two kilograms of heroine stuffed in a two cold drink bottles of one litre each near the Taran Taran border. The value of the seized drug is pegged at Rs 10 crore in international market.
With elections underway, smuggling and seizure of drugs is at an all time on along the porous border. The smugglers have time and again resorted to new means to transport the highly valuable commosity safely across the border. Use of cold drink bottles is perhaps a first.
The BSF battalion found the two bottles near the Army area, while diging the area. In January, 8 kgs of heroine has been seized near Indo-Pak border till date.
