Mansa: Farmer Surjit Singh aged 45 from Adamke village in Sardulgarh division of Mansa district, allegedly ended his life by consuming a pesticide on Monday as he was under huge debt.
They are seeking relief of Rs 10 lakh for the family besides waiving the loan of the deceased farmer.
Surjit Singh recently had got his two daughters married after taking loans from his relatives and villagers.
“Surjit’s family should get compensation and a government job for his son”, said BKU leader Ram Singh Bhenibagha.
