Rajpura: INLD party president Abhay Chautala and 74 other INLD members were presented by Punjab Police to SDM Rajpura Harpreet Singh Sudan’s court on Thursday.
The SDM ordered to send them in Judicial Custody till 27th February.
Abhay Chautala and 74 INLD members were arrested by Punjab police yesterday at Shambhu barrier. The INLD had organized a march to dig up SYL canal at Kapuri village in Patiala district. The arrests were made by Punjab Police as preventive measures to stop them from initiating the peace of two states.
The police had earlier implemented section 144 at the Shambhu Barrier and surrounding areas.
An FIR has been lodged by Punjab police as per section 188 under IPC.
