Chandigarh: The first meeting of the joint committee formed to look into cases registered during Jat quota riots in February 2016 was held here on Tuesday.

The Haryana government was represented in the meeting by ADGP (Law and Order) Mohammed Akil and law officer Parminder Chauhan. Ashok Balhara and S S Kharab carried the voice of the jaat community.

Withdrawl of cases registered during the last jaat agitation has been one of the key demands made by the community leaders during the present agitation.
