Gurugram: Police have arrested three accused for brutal rape and murder of a 10-year-old child which happened a month ago.
The accused were identified as Mukhtar Ali, 30, Aizad Malik, 26, and Zalil Ahmed, 22. They all lived near the home of the victim in the Wazirabad slum. Two of them worked as drivers and the third one is a rag-picker.
The child went missing on January 16. She was last seen playing near her home. Her body was found a week later in a vacant plot in the Saraswati Kunj area, Sector 53.
The post-mortem confirmed that she was tortured and brutally raped before being murdered as there were several bruises on her body and burn marks on her face. Police said the accused had tried to burn her face so that the body won’t get identified.
