100 crore National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) campus to come up in Panchkula

Panchkula-To develop textiles, hand-loom and cottage industry in Haryana, the government of India,Ministry of textiles is setting up the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) campus over an area of 10.45 acres. The cost of 1st phase is nearly 100 crores.The construction work on the building of the Center will begin in April 2017 and take approximately two years to complete.
Sunil Diwan the architect (in video) said that the structure was being constructed as a green building with solar panels.
The institute is expected to not only be an asset for Haryana but to also benefit the students from the neighboring states.
