The condition has improved but not to the extent government had promised. Many ATM machines simply aren’t working, and when they are, often run out of cash within hours of replenishing or the queues are never ending. Common man is still feeling helpless. A customer in Fatehabad, Harpreet Singh said that the condition at ATM’s and banks has improved.”We have to stand in the queues but at least we get the cash unlike initial days of demonetization”he added.
Hukamchand Singla, Manager of SBP, Fatehabad says that their bank had sufficient cash to provide to their customers and the banking process was normal. Even after the massive rush the bank was working properly and providing cash to each customer as per the rules-savings account 24000 per week and 50,000 per week to current account.
