Chandigarh: Beating the demonetization odds, Aamir Khan’s latest release Dangal has surged past Salman Khan’s Sultan to become the top grossing movie in the opening weekend on the box office in 2016.
Dangal has grossed around 107 crores over the Christmas weekend compared to the 105 crores done by Sultan. Both movies have a common theme being centered around Haryana-based wrestling players.
Dangal has been declared tax free by the Haryana Government.
