Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh, in association with Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya, organised a seminar on “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan” as part of the Induction Programme for newly admitted students at Aryans Campus. Brahmkumari Kailash Didi; Brahmkumari Geeta Didi; and Brahmkumari Sapna Didi were the speakers. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman,. Aryans Group of Colleges presided over.
The campaign is being undertaken by Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya, Rajasthan, in association with its national partners under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, and Mission SPANDAN of the Narcotics Control Bureau, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
Dr. kataria said that A strong nation can only be built by a healthy, focused and drug-free younger generation. Educational institutions have a major responsibility to guide students towards positive choices from the very beginning of their academic journey. Through initiatives like Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, we want our students to become not only successful professionals but also responsible citizens and ambassadors of a drug-free society, He asserted.
The speakers addressed the students during the programme. Dr. Kataria said that the beginning of college life is an important phase when young minds shape their personalities, habits and future goals, and therefore induction programmes should go beyond academics to inculcate values, discipline, social responsibility and healthy living. They highlighted the importance of spiritual strength, meditation, positive thinking, self-control and strong values in protecting youth from addiction and encouraged students to become ambassadors of the drug-free movement in their families and communities.
The programme was organised as part of the “10 Crore Addiction-Free Pledge Mega Campaign”, a nationwide public awareness movement being conducted from August 6–20, 2026. Aryans Group of Colleges actively joined the campaign and extended its support towards the national mission of creating an addiction-free society. The participants also took an addiction-free pledge. Students from Engineering, Law, Pharmacy, Allied Healthcare, MBA, BBA and BCA actively participated in the awareness programme, which aimed at sensitising youth about the harmful effects of drug and substance abuse and motivating them to adopt a healthy, disciplined and addiction-free lifestyle.
